Rose A. Mazzanti Morara, age 85, of Lake Village, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Lake Village Health Care Center.  She was born August 19, 1923, in Lake Village, the daughter of the late Egeno Mazzanti Sr. and Franca Carnevaletti Mazzanti.  She was a retired nurse having served as Chicot County Health Nurse for over 25 years and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Gene Morara and by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  Survivors are 2 sons, Paul Morara of Dumas and Donnie Morara of LaPorte, Texas; 2 daughters, Kathryn Morara Dawson of Lake Village and Loraine Morara Leuschke of Cordova, Tennessee; 4 brothers, Tony Mazzanti, Geno Mazzanti Jr., Frank Mazzanti and Jerry Mazzanti, all of Lake Village; 1 sister, Lena Boyd of Lake Village;

6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 7 P.M. Sunday at Bishop Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 27, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Theophilus Okpara as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in

St.Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
