Mary Mims, age 83, of Lake Village, died Tuesday, March 03, 2009, at Lake Village Health Care Center.  She was born January 4, 1926, in Cleveland, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Joe Ferri and Arcelia Olivi Ferri and was the widow of Johnny Mims and a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. 

She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Diane Arnold and Jeannie Overstreet and by a sister and brother, Josephine West and Johnny Ferri.  Survivors are a daughter, Betty Frazier of Scottsdale, Arizona, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 7 P.M. Friday, with Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Bishop Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Theophilus Okpara as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
