Faye Emogene Morgan Griffin, age 87, of Dermott, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at the Dermott City Nursing Home.  She was born April 17, 1921, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Homer Morgan and Pearl Ketchum Morgan and was a homemaker and member of Bellaire Baptist Church. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and by 6 brothers, Roy, Walter, Marvin, Lindon, Carthel and Joe Morgan.  Survivors are a son, Ken Griffin and wife, Melba, of Judsonia;

a daughter, Norma J. Henry of Dermott; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday at Bishop Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at

10:00 A.M. Monday, February 16, 2009, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Village with Rev. Jody Gannaway officiating.  Burial will follow in Old Troy Cemetery.
