Zelma T. Scucchi, age 94, of Lake Village, died Sunday, January 25, 2009, at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village.  She was born August 19, 1914, in Lake Village, the daughter of the late John Busti and Pauline Maggiori Busti and was a retired nurses aide and a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Busti, her husband Johnny Scucchi, two sons, Robert Scucchi and Billy Scucchi, sisters, Mary Busti Allumes, Violet Busti Hobby and Sarah Busti Reginelli and brothers, Nano Busti, Bo Busti and Willie Busti.

She is survived by 5 sons, Paul Scucchi and wife, Pat of St. Charles, Missouri, James Scucchi and wife, Toni, of Dermott, Tommy Scucchi and wife, Mary, of Lake Village, Louis Scucchi and wife, Faye, of Lake Village, and Donnie Scucchi of Hamburg; 2 daughters, Delores Scucchi Poyner of Rohwer, and Martha Scucchi Hayes, and husband, Danny, of Lake Village; a sister, Jane Frost of Walls, Mississippi; 24 grandchildren,

31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and her extended family of 9 years at Lake Village Assisted Living.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2009, with Rosary at 7:00 P.M.  Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 29, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Theophilus Okpara as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
