Mary Frances Smith age 86, of Sidney, Arkansas, formerly of Eudora, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 23, 2008.  She was born May 16, 1922, in Laurel Mississippi, the daughter of the late Egbert G. Acree and Mary Elizabeth Smith Acree. Mrs. Smith was a Homemaker and a member of the North Side Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Eugene Smith, and by two brothers, Johnny and Willie Frank Acree, and by two sisters, Faye Clark and Abby Archibald. She is survived by three sons; E. E. “Gene” Smith of El Paso, Harold Eugene Smith of Kilbourne, Louisiana, and Roy Wesley Smith of Sidney; two daughters; Wanda Louise Taylor of Oak Grove, Louisiana, and Connie F. Owen of Kilbourne, Louisiana; One brother, Egbert Wesley Acree of Cabot; two sisters, Dorothy Shipe of Cabot and Katherine Moss of Oak Grove, Louisiana. She has twenty-one Grandchildren, thirty-four Great Grandchildren, and six Great-Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be starting at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at North Side Baptist Church in Eudora. Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Wednesday November 26, 2008 at North Side Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the direction Bishop Funeral Home of Eudora.
