Myrtis Bell, age 78, of Lake Village, died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood, Mississippi.  She was born July 10, 1930, in Kilbourne, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Leonard Smith and Lottie Tullos Smith.  Mrs. Bell was a retired physicians assistant and a member of Bayou Mason Baptist Church.

She is survived 2 sons, J. D. Bell of McGehee and David Bell of Greenville, Mississippi; 2 daughters, Margaret Merritt of Brookhaven, Mississippi and Margie Green of Montrose

17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Bishop Funeral Home.  Funeral services are at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Bayou Mason Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Christmas officiating.  Burial will follow in Bayou Mason Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
