Mae Lee Broach, age 79, of Lake Village, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at her home. She was born March 20, 1929, in Hollandale, Mississippi, the daughter of the late J. E. Anderson and Ella Griffith Anderson and was a retired school bus driver, a homemaker and a member of Bayou Mason Baptist Church where she was also church treasurer for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Broach. Survivors are 2 daughters, Jane Rosson of Attala, Alabama and Karen Broach of Monticello; one very special nephew, Jeremy Anderson of Lake Village; 2 brothers, James Anderson and Raymond Anderson, both of Lake Village; 5 sisters, Helen Fondren and Bettie Shivey, both of Little Rock, Ruby Hicks of Searcy, Bertha Durham of Lake Village and Dorothy Delancey of Madison, Mississippi; 2 grandchildren, Christi Robinson and Melissa Norton and 2 great-grandchildren, Chandler Johnson and Blaine Norton.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Bayou Mason Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Goode and Rev. Jeff Tarver officiating. Burial will follow in Bayou Mason Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
