Fred R. Zieman, age 69, of Lake Village, died, Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born October 17, 1938, in Lake Village, the son of the late Fred R. Zieman and Stella Cook Zieman. He was a retired agri pilot for Johnny Tullos, retired pilot for Texas International Airlines, a farmer and Chicot County Judge for 4 terms, manager of Catfish Point Hunting Club for 8 years and a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village.
Survivors are his wife Patricia “Patty” Zieman of Lake Village; 2 sons, Mike Zieman and his wife, Suzanne, of Monticello and Sam Zieman and his wife, Dayla, of Spring, Texas;
a daughter, Charlotte Yandell and her husband, John, of Spring, Texas; a sister, Jan Z. Hellmers of Lake Village; seven grandchildren, Meri Whitney Zieman, McKenzie Zieman, Mary Zieman, Anna Zieman and Margaret Zieman and Cody Mencer and Justin Mencer.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday, March 23, 2008, with Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Bishop Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 24, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village with Father Theophilus Okpara as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
