Jim L. Effrein, 60, of Lake Village, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN.  He was a medical technologist for over 37 years and was Lab Manager at Chicot Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Effrein was born Sept. 3, 1947, in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late Lennon A. Effrein and Anna Ruth Geisler Effrein and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Crow Effrein of Lake Village; a son, Adam Effrein of Marion, AR; 2 daughters, Amy Dale of Lake Village and Abbie Funkhouser of Eudora; a sister, Ruth Ann Fleig and husband, Charlie, of St. Genevieve, MO and two grandchildren, Neelie Dale and Riley Funkhouser.

Rosary will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Mass is 11:00 A.M. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Theophilus Okpara as celebrant.

Arrangements are by Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village.
