Andrew Rogers Mixon Sr., age 86, of Dermott, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at the Dermott City Nursing Home.  He was born October 31, 1923, in Collins, the son of the late G. Rolla Mixon and Sarrah Eubanks Mixon and was a mechanic and farmer and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Michael A. Mixon and Lonnie J. Mixon and by 2 brothers and 1 sister.  Survivors are his wife, Flora Mae Mixon of Dermott; 4 sons, Allen W. Mixon and Roger Mixon Jr., both of Dermott, Davy M. Mixon of Monticello and Robin Lynn Mixon of Russellville; 6 daughters, Joy Kay Davis of Clarksville, Ann A. Meyers and Linda R. Coulter, both of McGehee, Jill L. Morphis of Dermott, Rita F. Porter of Monticello and Connie M. Lee of Mobile, Alabama; 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Bishop Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at McArthur Cemetery with Rev. Ed Davis officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
