Patricia Mansour Abide, loving wife and devoted mother, passed away in Covington, Louisiana on Saturday, January 30, 2010, the day after her 88th birthday. A memorial service and Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Greenville, Mississippi. A private burial will be follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lake Village.
Mrs. Abide was born in Lake Village on January 29, 1922, to Saleem and Zacia Mansour. She was the fifth of seven daughters. She graduated from Lakeside High School and attended Loyola in New Orleans.
She is survived by Mitchell Abide, her husband of 51 years; two sons, Peter Abide and wife, Judy, of Biloxi, Mississippi and Mitch Abide and wife, Jane, of Covington, Louisiana; two daughters, Leah Whann and her husband, Sandy, of New Orleans, Louisiana and Mary Negus and her husband, Brian, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two sisters, Isabelle Mansour of Lake Village and Astrid Wolf of Hot Springs Village; and eleven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Greenville, Mississippi.
