Christine Mahfouz Haddad, age 85, of Dermott, died Sunday, October 18, 2009, at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. She was a homemaker and Communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Mrs. Haddad was born May 23, 1924, in Dermott, the daughter of the late Kahlil Joseph Mack Mahfouz and Josephine Goodson Mahfouz. Her husband, Icer Haddad and a son-in-law, Jerry Crouse also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Sadie Crouse of Lake Village; a brother, Richard Mahfouz of Dermott, a sister, Pearline Mahfouz of Dermott; a brother-in-law, Jasper Haddad and his wife, Inez; of Monroe, Louisiana; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Haddad of Monroe, Louisiana; 4 grandchildren, Kahlil Lynn Crouse and wife, Michelle, Krestan Icer Crouse and wife, Stephanie, Sarah Haddad Crouse and Kamila Lea Crouse; 6 great-grandchildren, Samara, Miriam, Josephine, Shelly, Adam and Celeste and by a special sitter and caregiver, Dorothy Tyler.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, at Bishop Funeral Home with Rosary following at 7:00 P.M. Graveside Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Dermott Cemetery with Father Theophilus Okpara officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
