Benny Harold Durham, age 71, of McGehee, died Friday, October 16, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.  He was born October 14, 1938, in Montrose, Arkansas, the son of the late Earl T. Durham and Gladys Mae Ray Durham and was a carpenter, an Army Veteran and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Durham and by 2 brothers, Jack L. Durham and Vance Durham.  Survivors are 2 sons, Johnny Durham of McGehee and Bennett Durham of Woodlawn; 2 daughters, Yogi Denton and Kathy Cain, both of McGehee;

one brother, Jim Durham of Houston, Texas; one sister, Ellen Rose Swink of Jennings, Florida; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Bishop Funeral Home. 

Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 19, 2009, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zan Pierce Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
