Joel David Boyd, age 46, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at his home. He was an attorney with the law firm of Hosto & Buchan. Mr. Boyd was born September 19, 1962, in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of Charles Phillip Boyd and Lena Mazzanti Boyd and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Phillip Boyd. Survivors are his mother, Lena Boyd of Lake Village; a brother, Charles Boyd of Little Rock; 2 sisters, Barbara McLaughlin and husband, Ed, of Darien, Conn. and Amy Smith and husband, Harvey, of Fayetteville; and 5 nieces and nephews, James, Paul, and Frances Ann, of Darien, Conn. and Benjamin and Jocelyn of Fayetteville.
A Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M. Friday at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village with Father Theophilus Okpara as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
