Alma Marie Woods, age 72, of Portland, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at her home.  She was born October 13, 1936, in Goldona, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Willie Brock and Maude Wilson Brock.  She was the widow of T. J. Woods and was a homemaker and member of Portland Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Robert, Jimmy, Mack and Burton Brock and by a sister, Elizabeth Alford.  Survivors are a brother, A. J. Brock of Oak Grove, Louisiana, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends from the Portland area including Denver Burns.

Visitation is 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 7, 2009, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Mason and Rev. Terrie Lynn Bunnell officiating.  Burial will follow in Portland Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
